Craigslist.org – You will never go back!

The days of classified ads in the newspaper and the big nickel are over. Since its conception, Craigslist.org has grown to approximately 450 cities reaching to over 10 million users and 5 billion page views in a single month. These numbers have made it the 34th most popular website on the internet and it continues to grow. With 500,000 new job postings each month and the public’s fast transition to online classified ads, craigslist.org will no doubt take over all classified ads in the future.
Craigslist.org is most well known for people being able to sell their stuff (houses, toys, etc.) locally without having to pay a dime or for businesses to be able to post job opportunities with much better success than a newspaper. The parts that aren’t known as well are the forums, community discussions, and the serious but definitely humorous Personals section. Read more

John Chow dot Com

On the day I decided to write a blog to replace my website, I decided to start looking at some of the most popular blogs. I came across many blogs that had specific topics and were fairly predictable, but then I ran into “John Chow dot Com – The Miscellaneous Ramblings of a Dot Com Mogul.”
John Chow is a Dot Com mogul with some really interesting things to say. He doesn’t shy away from doing whatever is on his mind. He goes from talking about how to make money with a blog to talking about his new born baby.
Whatever topics it is that John may be talking about it is quality stuff. I have yet to read an article on his site that doesn’t leave me going away with something new. For example, his article Making Money with a blog is just interesting. He gives real world numbers about how is blog is doing. It is the perfect motivation for anyone with something to say to want to start a blog. John does a fantastic job of wording his articles and presenting it in a easy to read method.

But don’t just take my word for it, believe the numbers, John has over 3000 registered readers and is ranked as one of the top blogs on the internet. Just imagine, over 3000 registered readers probably accounts for less than 30% of the readers. In october, he had over 220,000 visitors and 0ver 310,000 page views. These numbers don’t come by magic, they come from a quality blog that deserves those numbers.

Time to visit John and read his latest. JohnChow dot Com

Why buy shoes online? – Shoebuy.com

Have you ever wondered why people would buy clothes or shoes online when you can’t try them on? Well, that is a valid concern, so that is part of the reason why I am writing this article about Shoebuy.com. As with other articles, the real reason as to why I am writing this is because I think great company’s deserve a good word. I absolutely love shoebuy.com.

Shoebuy takes out all of the hassles associated with buying online, by having a huge selection, fast free shipping, free returns if needed and extraordinarly good prices.

Shoebuy is very unique in that you get nearly all the same conveniences as buying at a local store, while having internet prices. With shoebuy.com there are never tax’s and shoppers can expect to almost always save 15%-20% off retail price. So being in the great state of Nevada with 7.25% sales tax, with shoebuy.com worst case, I save 7.25% tax and 10% cheaper than retail for a total of 17.25% savings.

To make a good deal great, Shoebuy.com regularly has 20% off coupons found HERE and for new members they get an additional 10% off.

I can’t remember the last pair of shoes that I did not order from shoebuy.com. So next time you decide to buy shoes, instead of spending $100 spend $70, give shoebuy.com a shot and I am sure you will be satisfied.

Woot.com – One Day, One Deal

February 26, 2007 by Adam

When you are bored around 10:00PM (PST) on any given day of the week, then there is the perfect and sometimes more than perfect solution.  Woot.com offers one product each day released at 10:ooPM  (PST) and most of the time the prices will make you want to say “Woot, Woot”! Most of the products are kind of strange, but you have to watch for the great products now and again.  But wait, about once a month or two months or three, they have a thing called Woot.com“Woot-Off”. A Woot-Off is when a new product is offered when the previous one sells out, so instead of checking once a day at 10:00PM (PST), you might feel the urge to check every 5 minutes, to see if there is a HOT buy!  If you are really lucky, then you might see or even luckier be able to buy a “Bag of Crap”.  The “Bag of Crap” is just plain fun.  Costing only $1, the “Bag of Crap” could be anything from some stupid blue paper holder to a nice memory stick, but you will never know until it arrives on you doorstep. Even better, everything, no mater what size, weight, or quantity(max 3) shipping is always a flat $5.

Beside the incredibly fun shopping experience, the products descriptions are straight comedy.  If you are not interested in buying something, the least you could do is read the funny descriptions.

For the people of higher class, there is also which offers a nice set of wines each day that are supposedly priced well below retail.  Unfortunately, the wines offered still run at least $10 a bottle and as a college student I am much too cheap for that.

For the tech savvy, there are Woot Off programs that run on your computer to alert you of a new woot, but check it out regular Woot first before you take the plunge to doing an efficient Woot Off!
