What is “The Adam Box”?

This is an obvious question, but the story behind it is rather interesting. Around Christmas time 2006, I heard of this book which describes a game that indirectly teaches you about yourself called The Cube: Keep the Secret. So I got the book for Christmas and thought it was really fun.

About a month later, I decided to start writing a blog and wanted to talk about topics and websites which are interesting to me. Immediately I thought of The Cube as an illustration of who a person is and how I could play on the name. So that was when I came up with the name, The Adam Box, since it sounded better than The Adam Cube.

So “TheAdamBox” is a collection of sites and topics that are in my virtual box which would be my mind. So in one way or another, all the information on this site relates is important to me in someway.

What is in the AdamBox?

The AdamBox includes anything that I think is worthy to become a boxtopic. Some of the things that I plan to discuss in detail are all the websites that I visit regularly and why I think they are so great. I plan to have articles about cool hobbies that I enjoy. I plan to have articles of anything that spurs my fascination which could be something as stupid as one of those funny emails that travel around. You never know what might be next, that is why I suggest always checking back to see what the latest Box Topic is.

Why?

Why would I do this? I see opportunity on the internet all over and till now, I have just let it pass by. I have decided to try and make a website that does something useful and entertaining for people. I also enjoy web design so much that I like to always have a new project to work on. So it really is just a hobby of mine.

Who is Adam?

Well I am a motivated internet guru wanna-be, who has a lot to say about life, money, and relationships. I am currently trying to finish my degree in Mechanical Engineering and I am always looking for an opportunity to be independently well off. My goal in life is to try everything that I find interesting at least once, meaning when I thought it would be fun to do a triathlon, I did one of the hardest, when I wanted to dance, I learned it. I have wanted to make a successful website for years, but the right idea never came along, but now I feel I have something that can be somewhat productive.
In my personal life, I consider myself to be a hopeless romantic, so I am always looking for great ways to impress that special girl. So I am really looking forward to writing about those ideas.
My family and friends are my backbone and without them nothing else matters. Part of this blog experience is to meet and mingle with people in the field and I look forward to the opportunity.
