Today starts a series that is so important in terms of success. Almost everything we decide on is based on some reasoning taken from our ideal image or feeling about a topic. That is why when people say “Image is everything” they are so right. Take for example politians who will regularly shift their views slightly one way or the other to match the ideal image of their audience. This is why the term “Flip-Flop” was developed and to be fair to John Kerry, everyone does it. He just was in the wrong place at the wrong time. So no matter what we do in life, we have to look at how others feel and how best to present ourselves to increase our success. This concept is true even down to being a good parent. Suppose as a parent you swear and yell at your wife, but treat your kids like gold. Do you think their image of you if great, assuming that they truly love their mother?
In this series, I am going to dive into various examples of how image is so important and how to improve your image which eventually will lead to who you are as a person rather than just temporarily changing your image for a single event. Here are the topics I will be diving into.
- Introduction
- Career – Week 1 – April 30th
- Life -Week 2 – May 7th
- Relationships -Week 3 – May 14th
- Confidence
- Attitude
Look for the first section about Image in your Career on Monday April 30th.

If you haven’t hear of “You don’t know Jack”, then you are really missing out on experiencing this entertaining game. If you have heard of “You Don’t know Jack”, did you know that you can play it online? A little while ago they released the 8th episode of YDKJ and it is just as fun as ever. The online version isn’t quite as cool as the actual game you buy, but it does ask questions relating to today, so it is good in its own way. This game is a great game to play with friends and family especially if you have a big screen. Anyways check it out, because it only take 10 minutes to play and you will definintely enjoy yourself. Good Luck.

Last week I talked about attitude and how having a good attitude will help your life. Part of having a good attitude was exercising regularly which causes a release of endorphins and the more physically fit a person is, the more receptive they are to endorphins.
So based along the same lines, comes higher productivity with regular exercise. We all have logic which tells us, “If I exercise, then I am wasting time that I could be doing something else.†The only problem with that argument is that exercising will increase the efficiency of everything you do. You may be thinking, “Why would it increase my efficiency?â€
Exercising increases your efficiency in two big ways. The first and probably most obvious is the increased physical energy and reduced fatigue someone who regularly exercises experiences. So the less fatigued one feels, the less burnt out one feels, and their productivity is increased. Next, we all have heard the phrase “Image is everything†and by exercising our self-image improves because of our psychological and physiological health. Exercising helps your body both psychologically and physiologically. While exercising, it is natural for someone to have uplifted mood and self-confidence levels, because psychologically they feel good about becoming healthier. Also, the increase level of endorphins helps a person’s stress and anxiety levels to decrease. So by having better moods and less stress, we convey confidence and excitement in our lives which can translate to others having higher confidence in the quality of your work. So exercising regularly can lead to more efficient and better quality of work, while creating an image of quality and success in ones life.
Exercise improves efficiency by:
- Increasing Physical energy levels and reducing fatigue levels.
- Increasing physical and mental health which conveys confidence and quality in the work being done.
The best way to experience this is to just start exercising regularly. If you don’t get more done, feel better, and have higher success, than quite exercising, but I am sure that will not be the case. It is good to write a journal which documents your exercising successes, so you can see improvements which boosts your confidence. Also take note of your attitude changes and mental health. Give it a trial period of exercising for at least 5 days a week for more than 30 minutes per day for 1 month. You will be forever happy that you took this step of exercising regularly.
Happy Exercising!
